I found IOTUNN back in 2021, a couple of weeks after they released “Access All Worlds”. I love Jón Aldará’s both clean and non-clean vocals, I was listening to Barren Earth a lot, and I was regularly checking out his entry on Metal Archives to see what he’s up to.
The Weaver System was an insta-love for me. Spent many hours listening to it. Then they started releasing new material for “Kinship”, from 2023 with “Mistland”, and in 2024 I Feel The Night, Twilight and Iridescent Way before the full album hit our ears.
Earth to Sky has to be my favorite song from this album. I was very lucky to see them in Greece in 2025 when they visited us for the Rockwave Festival, even though Jón was not touring. It was the highlight of the festival for me (some other bands that also appeared in the festival: The Halo Effect, Opeth, Savatage, Michael Schenker, Rotting Christ etc).
Naturally, when they announced they will be coming back to Greece for their Kinship tour, I bought tickets for the concert in Thessaloniki about 10 minutes after the presale started! The time is almost here. I can’t wait!
